Make a good selection. For this strategy to be effective and alleviate the effects of an intoxication due to an excess of content, it is important to use critical thinking skills when searching and selecting. Distinguishing content that is really useful for the community (if sharing content is our goal) from content that is not will determine whether content curation was effective.
Keeping a critical thinking approach on content selection helps reduce the amount of information we receive, and thus optimizes the little time we have to read and analyze digital contents that are really interesting for us.
Updated selection. You need to forget about “just in case I need it later”; otherwise, you will not reduce the amount of information you receive. Before choosing an information source, you need to analyze content extension, whether it is up to date, when it was published, who created it and whether it really belongs to the subjects of interest.
