Make sure that applets work properly. When creating a new applet, it is important to check that it works properly and that no mistakes were made. The application allows for checking that everything is correct.
You need to take into account that the application takes care of many actions that would usually be done by the user. This is enough to double-check that actions are those that were defined by the user and work according to what has been stated.
If there is an applet you do not use, remove it or turn it off. IFTTT gives you the option to manage applets from the user’s profile and temporarily turn off those applets you are not going to use or want to keep in stand-by for some time. Applets that no longer work, or are useless, should better be removed permanently.
Security during access to IFTTT. You need to take into account that the application stores personal information and information on how to access any linked accounts (active channels). It is essential to perform the activation process in places and devices that are safe, in order to keep personal data private.
