Several tagging tools are shown below. By using them, files and folder are kept properly arranged and subsequent searches may be performed in a fast, easy way:

This is a free application that helps arrange folders and files with custom-made tags (in different shapes and colors). It offers the possibility to export all the tagging information if files and folders are to be transferred to another computer. It has an intuitive interface that is quite similar to that of Windows file explorer, which makes it possible to arrange files and folders and perform searches on them in an easy, quick way. No installation is required: if you use Windows or Linux, you will only need to execute a file. If you use MacOS, you will only need to decompress the program files in the directory you choose.

This is a free multiplatform application (Windows, MacOS, Linux and Android) that helps manage and arrange local files using tags. A Pro version (paid version) is available and includes advanced functions, such as Geo tagging.
